New Monster Friend is a Football Fan

Steelers Monster
(or any team)
Customized, special order only.

Look at this guy! He is awesome. I made him for a friend and just fell in love with him.
I created this pattern by myself!!!!
My first ever!

I am so excited that I got to do this and that I pushed through it. I have worked with patterns before and have manipulated them but never written an entire pattern by myself. I don't normally pat myself on the back, but when you have to teach yourself how to crochet it seems like a long way off before one would ever write their own pattern.

This guy has really long arms and legs.
He can be positioned in many different poses.

He has one safety eye and a button, the button is sewn on super tight. He is stuffed with silk fill, which is safer and softer for children.

His logo is a registered NFL Pittsburgh Steeler® logo patch.

I can make a monster for any team you want.

The reasons why...

The reasons why...

I have been making amigurumi for three years now.

The first time I ever tried it, it was on a whim and even though I still make other items, like hats, scarves, jewelry, I really think I found my "thing".

I love making amigurumi. I love giving a little monster/ami life. And getting to decide what their expression will be. Then I LOVE to see a little one fall in love with the creature as much as I did. That is actually the best part. Because I make these for a reason, and no it's not to sell them and make lots of money, because honestly is that going to happen? The reasons I make these little creations is to bring joy to a little one but with something that is going to last. It can be washed, it can be loved, and maybe even one day it can be passed on to their little one. Also, we rescue dogs, and the money from the sale of these little friends goes to the vet bills, food, and other things they may need. Every little bit helps to keep them healthy and happy. And we appreciate any help we can get.

I make all of these creations by hand. I spend hours and hours crocheting them, picking yarn and stuffing them, so they are just right. I make sure that I purchase the stuffing made out of silk, so that it's safer and softer for your little one. Each ami is special and unique. I try to give them each their own personality, so that they will find their unique and special little to love them.

A little about me....

I am 37 years old, soon to be (too soon) 38. I married my high school sweetheart when I was 20 years old. We have two children together, and six dogs. I am an avid crafter, and I used to make ceramics but how many ceramics can one person have? And then you have to dust them, well that was short lived. So I started scrapbooking shortly after the death of my ceramic hobby, due to my best friend. She asked me just to try it and then she would stop bugging me. Well needless to say, I never looked back. I have been scrapbooking for 14 years now and I still love it. There is so much that you can do with that hobby. Then I started crocheting. I first just did it to make a blanket because we didn't have enough blankets in the house, and I don't like to turn up the heat. But then I saw this book in the library about amigurumi and I just had to try it. And again, I found something that I love and I can't imagine ever stopping. There is just so much to do, and so many ways to grow your talent.

Well, that is enough of my ramblings for today. I have two little friends that will be making an appearance soon. Keep your eyes open, they are new and amazing and created by ME!!!!

Have a wonderful day and a
Happy Thanksgiving.

Much love.

My Sweet Angel

My Sweet Angel

For those of you that have been to a show I have been in and have grabbed a business card of mine, then you know who this is. Her name is Roo and she is my sweet angel. We were out playing in the leaves that I had just raked up in the front yard. She hopped around in the pile, having a ball.
This is when I miss having littles the most. The leaf raking and the Christmas season. So I treat my puppies (all 6 of them) like my kids.
Roo is so gentle and loving. She broke out of her cage this morning after daddy let her out to go outside. She tends to be Houdini when she wants too. She had to have her snuggle time with me. She came running into the bedroom, crawled under the covers, put her head on my shoulder and fell asleep. Who wouldn't love that? It's one of my favorite times of day.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce you all to one of the reasons I make these amigurumis.
Our rescues are provided with the food, shelter, and medical treatment they need.

Later this week I will have some new products to showcase that I am very excited about.
My etsy store will have some patterns listed on it, that you can purchase and download.
Also I have a finished pony who is slightly different then Penelope, to share.

Have a wonderful day!

Shelley the Sheep

Shelley the Sheep

Hello everyone. Today I wanted to share with you the little friend I made over the weekend.
Shelley the sheep is sweet, soft and comforting. If you can't fall asleep she will help you count sheep. lol I know corny! That's what my kids say I am at least. Shelley has BIG beautiful brown eyes. Her arms are pretty floppy so she can hug you right back. But she also sits perfectly when putting her up on the shelf for the day, until you take her to bed with you at night.

Shelley can be made in any color you wish. Here she is pictured in buff and cream.
Shelley has eyelids that are saggy because she is so sleepy. She is ready to take a nap or settle down for the night.

Shelley has a cute little tail on her little bum.

I think as I make more and more little friends, I can't decide which friend is my favorite.

I am working on a new friend that I will share soon. He is quite a bit bigger then this little one.

I have listed some color combinations, if you prefer something else, please send me an email here.
