Happy New Year to all!!!

I hope that everyone's New Year is going well so far!

I made some cute little, 4 inch or so, star ornaments but never had time to post them. Boy is this time of year busy! Phew, can I say I am glad it's over? I am relieved and a little bit sad. The joys of when my kids were younger are gone, and since neither has plans to have kids (I know it could change), they might be the last of the little ones for a while. Unless there is still hope for my brothers.... I don't know about that. Seems hard enough to find the right girl for them, can't imagine even the suggestion of children. :o

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions or plans to drastically alter my life, because I can't stick to rigid goals, who can? I just want to tweak some small things in my life that need changing and improve upon myself a little.

Hello all. I hope you are enjoying the approaching holiday festivities. 

This time of year can be very stressful, and we tend to get caught up in all the spending.

When it should be about love and family, spending time, with the people we don't get to see all year, or even the ones we do.

To me the holidays are a time to make gifts and enjoy the giving part of the season. I love to make cookies, lasagna, stuffed animals, cards, scrapbook pages, paper bag books or whatever and I love to give those to family and friends. I love to see people enjoying what I make them.

This year I made lasagna for my bosses and the massage therapist I work for, I slaved over the stove all weekend making sauce and putting the pans together. On Tuesday, I got texts from all of them (almost at the same time) stating that they loved it and they were so thankful. That is the kind of stuff that makes me happy. It's not about what I get in return, or even if I get anything at all, because I don't expect things. I love giving gifts, I love giving homemade gifts more then gifts I have to go buy, it's so much more personal.

After the holidays, I hope to have some news things to share with you.

Things here have slowed down since the Mayday Underground show and life has returned somehwat back to normal. I took the two weeks since and focused a little on myself. I needed to get back in to a routine of working out and I had a lot of other things around the house that needed to get done. Plus I have my scrapbooking blog that has been neglected, and my children to hang out with and dogs to train. Oh the list is endless. 

I did however make El Gato. He is a cute cat with really big feet and no arms.
